Ever since Flash Player 11.2, Firefox has been freezing every time I navigate to a Web site that contains an element that displays in Flash (e.g., www.uscis.gov). The problem affects all seven Windows 7 32-bit computers in the office that I manage. We always are using the latest version of Firefox; the problem persists despite Firefox and Flash Player version updates. The problem even occurs in Flash Player 11.7 beta.
I resolved the problem for a while by downgrading to Flash 10.3, but Flash Player somehow recently got updated on our computers, and now, even when I disable the Flash plug-in in Firefox, the plug-in seems to re-enable itself regularly.
Firefox does not freeze or crash for a Web site that does not use Flash, but every time we navigate to a Web site that uses Flash, Firefox freezes for a long time, and the best solution at that point usually is to restart the computer.
Even turning Flash Player protected mode off (by inserting the line 'ProtectedMode=0' in the 'mms.cfg' filedoes not solve the problem.
I will appreciate any advice.
Thank you.
